Adult and Geriatric Services

NeuroBehavioral Associates provides assessment and treatment of cognitive and psychiatric disorders for adults of all ages.

With such disorders, there is often concern over

  • possible dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease
  • movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease
  • thinking problems as a result of stroke, brain tumor, heart attack/failure, or anesthesia

We can provide

  • significant clarity in terms of diagnosis
  • what medications might help
  • individuals and family strategies to ease the aging process and to maintain independence as long as possible.

For concerns about dementia, stroke, or other brain-impacting conditions

  • We offer neurorehabilitation, a way of improving, practicing, and fine-tuning thinking so as to recover from injury and fend off any possible disease as long as possible. This helps to keep the patient functional and independent.
  • We work with families and teach them how to best help their loved one.
  • When depression or anxiety is a concern, NBA offers individual and family psychotherapy.
  • Medication management is also available with our psychiatrist.

Concussion management and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) are a major focus of our practice.

General psychological and psychiatric services are also offered.

  • We handle PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, conversion disorders, and more.
  • Therapy groups are available based on diagnosis.
  • Addiction counseling is also available.

For younger adults, we can assess for learning disorders such as ADD or any other issue that may negatively impact thinking. See our Family and Child Services page for more.
